ABOUT ME
Jeroen Lambrichts challenges himself to improve his skills at the same speed as technology is changing. Those constant developments can only have a positive influence on his knowledge. Jeroen invests a lot of time to develop himself professionally and that’s what keeps him sharp. Keeping his knowledge up to date and implementing it directly in his projects, is what drives him as a consultant.
Jeroen works in IT since 2006. He worked himself up from helpdesk assistant to second line support engineer and to system engineer specialized in virtualization and storage, while he immersed himself in server technologies. His intensive work on virtualization platforms makes sure he delivers a right and well-considered solution to the client.
According to Jeroen, co-operating with clients and partners means listening and communicating clearly. There is no doubt for him that communication is the key to success for a project. His goal for every project is to think together with the client, manage all the problems and challenges. A project is completed when he can make clients fully exploit their infrastructure.
Jeroen is passionate about technology, not only in his job. He is the one who is up to date about the latest technology and gadgets. When he wants to clear his mind completely, he is off to the mountains with his snowboard. To continue with a new and clear focus afterwards.

As a consultant, I have worked with several clients to set up a COSN (Cloud OS Network) environment. This environment consisted of highly available Hyper-V clusters, separate Active Directory domains, System Center Virtual Machine Manager, Operations Manager, SQL 2014 Always-on and Windows Azure Pack. Upon the completion of the project and knowledge transfer, our clients were able to provide their customers with a Microsoft Azure-like on-premises environment. Additionally, for some clients, I prepared and delivered custom training for their internal infrastructure team on topics such as Hyper-V, Failover Cluster Management, and Windows Azure Pack.
System Engineer at DE LIJN - outsourced via AUSY BELGIUM (April 2011 - March 2015)
As a system engineer, my day-to-day responsibilities included server monitoring, backups, deployments, updates, troubleshooting, incident solving, and service calls. I worked in a team of 4 systems engineers, together we managed over 500 servers. Each of us had an area of expertise, and my expertise was VMware. I was responsible for maintaining a highly available VMware infrastructure, which included testing software and firmware updates on a separate environment before deploying them to our production cluster.
I was responsible for the upgrade of the VMware farm from 4.1u3 to 5.5 for De Lijn, working in collaboration with an external architect to deliver the architectural design and installation manuals. During the migration, a separate cluster was setup for the virtual machines to move from IBM Blades/SVC to HP Blades and HP 3PAR storage.
I also managed the migration of De Lijn’s storage infrastructure from IBM SVC to HP 3PAR, and completed several trainings at HP (Diegem) to manage the HP 3PAR storage environment. The Windows server infrastructure at De Lijn consisted of Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2008R2, 2012 and 2012 R2. As the end-of-life for the 2003 and 2008/R2 servers approached, we migrated them to server 2012 R2 (Microsoft Lifecycle) and encouraged the development team to upgrade their internal applications to be compatible with the latest server technologies.
